The Kalmar reachstacker (reach stacker) is a reliable and flexible tool for a wide range of handling within the wind energy industry. The freedom allowed by the lifting equipment; boom and attachment and its rotation possibilities, makes it easy for the driver to improve work efficiency. Kalmar offers special attachments for the wind energy industry that easily connect to standard lift equipment. The attachments are designed for efficient transport, loading and unloading tower sections, hubs, nacelles and rotator wings. When handling tower sections two machines are used, one at at each end of the tower section. Those same reachstacker machines can easily be used for component handling, breakbulk, and standard container cargo handling.

Kalmar heavy-lift fork trucks have been developed for a broad spectrum of heavy handling applications. The machines are designed with focus on productivity and cost efficiency. Kalmar special attachments for heavy lift trucks for the wind energy industry are designed to fit the machines for efficient handling of wind industry components. When overhead height is limited inside a factory, the attachment can be used to lift from inside the tower section in order to reduce lifting height. With a free lift mast the lifting height can be reduced further.
