Michael Carvalho is the president of Carvalho & Associates, P.C., a law firm he founded in 2004. Mike concentrates his practice in environmental and energy law, construction law, complex litigation and the redevelopment of environmental distressed properties. He is an experienced trial lawyer and has both successfully defended and prosecuted claims in connection with violations of the federal Clean Water Act, Superfund, the Clean Air Act, and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, among other environmental laws in state and federal courts. He has successfully defended clients in a broad range of construction matters, to include the catastrophic failure of an earthen dam and stormwater management. He regularly advises clients on environmental risk management, construction-related Best Management Practices and transactional matters involving risk allocation and transfer of Brownfields.
